A 25 year old driver was caught speeding at 189 km per hour on the Nicosia-Limassol highway where the speed limit is 100 km per hour.
Police said the driver was stopped at 11.45 pm on Monday night, near the Tseri exit of the Nicosia-Limassol highway.
The driver, a 25 year old man from Nicosia, was arrested taken to Nisou police station where he was charged and released to appear in court at a later stage.
