A 21 year old who told police he had killed his housemate with a knife after a row was remanded in custody for eight days by Nicosia district court on Wednesday.
The suspect is under arrest for the premeditated murder.
Police said he had gone to the Evrychou police station near his home last night and said he had stabbed and killed his housemate.
Both the victim, also aged 21, and the suspect are foreign nationals.
A police spokesman told CyBC that initial inquiries suggest the the fatal stabbing came during a row over a ‘minor issue’.
