A foreign resident of Paphos is being held as a suspect in the rape of an 18 year old tourist.
The complaint to the police was made by an 18 year old woman who said that at around 2 am on June 28 she had been raped by a young man while on a beach in Kato Paphos.
Based on her description and other information as well as other testimony police arrested the 21 year old man who on Tuesday was remanded in custody for six days.
He denies any involvement. Police investigations continue.
