A 20 month old boy died in Limassol on Friday night after choking on mashed food at his home in Erimi.
The toddler was being fed by its mother. Efforts by the ambulance crew to revive the child on the scene were unsuccessful as were those of doctors at Limassol Hospital where the 20 month old was taken, and he was pronounced dead around 9.20 pm.
The post-mortem will be held on Monday.
