The 2 February earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale was an aftershock of the strong earthquake of 11 January 2022.
It has been recorded by the five permanent accelerographs installed in the five towns of Cyprus and the nine accelerographs which are temporarily installed in various positions in the area of Polis Chrysochous, so that micro-zone studies will be carried out during the 2022-2030 period.
