Police are investigating the conditions under which a 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a car accident on Monday evening in Limassol.
The 19-year-old is hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital in critical condition.
According to evidence, just after midnight, while the 19-year-old was driving on the new port road in Limassol with a 17-year-old passenger, under conditions that are being investigated, her vehicle crashed into a car going in the same direction, driven by a 43-year-old man.
Due to the crash, the two vehicles moved to the left and collided with the protective fence. The car of the 19-year-old turned over and as a result, the woman was thrown out of the car and suffered serious injuries.
Members of the Police rushed to the spot while an ambulance transferred the two women to the Limassol General Hospital.
Due to the seriousness of her condition, the 19-year-old was transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital.
Members of the Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the accident.
