The day after the announcement of promotions in the Police Force, some people reacted.
Forty police officers, who had held key-positions in various departments were transferred with the target, as reported, to reinforce police stations and departments of the front line. Most of these people had held their positions for a long time. Most changes affected the Nicosia Police Directorate and other districts except Paphos.
More changes regarding the leadership are expected in mid-February when deputy Police Chief Christos Mavris will retire. It is almost certain that he will be replaced by assistant chief Dimitrios Dimitriou.
