An 18 year old youth was remanded in custody for three days on Saturday after police discovered 1200 fire crackers at his house in Nicosia.
The youth was arrested after police searched his house and found the fire crackers.
He is being held to facilitate police inquiries into a case of illegal possession of explosives.
Lakatamia police are investigating.
