16 year old caught speeding at 101 km per hour in Paphos

Paphos police have charged a 16 year old boy and his father after the teen was caught driving at 101 km per hour in a 65 km per hour speed limit area in Paphos, without a licence or insurance.

Philenews said the youngster had taken his parent’s car and drove to the tourist area. He was stopped on Evropis Avenue doing 101 km per hour.

The teenager was taken to Paphos police station and his parents were called in. Both the young man and his father, as the owner of the vehicle, were charged in writing and will appear in court at a later date.

In a separate development, police in Paphos stopped a 27 year old Bulgarian for a routine traffic check who tested positive for drugs and was charged in writing.

A little later three people were arrested at a Paphos apartment after they were found to be in possession of 40 grams of cannabis, two precision scales and 1300 euro in cash believed to the proceeds from drug sales.

Police investigations continue.
