A 16 year old was arrested for driving without a driving licence or insurance in Kolossi after a car chase during which he reversed into a patrol car in his attempt to get away.
The teenager was spotted by a police patrol at 2 am which signalled him to stop. Instead the young man attempted a getaway, driving off at speed only to end up in a dead end.
Undeterred, he tried to again to evade police, ending up reversing into the patrol car and into the gates of house, where his car was immobilised.
The young man, who was driving without a licence or insurance, was taken to the police station and his parents informed.
