The police officers called at the scene of car accident on the Nicosia-Limassol highway near Moni, were surprised to find out that one of the drivers was 13 years old! The 13-year-old boy was driving a car that had been reported as stolen a little earlier in Larnaca.
The boy was lightly injured after the car hit the railing: he was transported to the hospital but was discharged shortly after.
The reasons why the underage boy was driving the car and the way in which he came across it are still unknown and currently under investigation. It is noted that because of his age, the boy cannot be accused and found guilty for any charges since he has not yet reached an age of criminal responsibility.
