A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale was recorded at 12:24 on Tuesday, according to Athens National Observatory Geodynamics Institute.
The quake’s epicentre was 23 km east of Zakros and its focal depth was 8.2 km.
No injuries or damages have been reported so far.
