A minor magnitude 1.8 earthquake hit central Greece’s Evia island, some 65 km northeast of Athens, Attica, around 2am on Friday.
The new earthquake, which follows the 4.9 earthquake on Wednesday, was at 10 km depth.
Over seventy aftershocks had rattled Evia in the twenty-four hours following the 4.9 earthquake.
Wednesday’s tremor was also felt in Athens around 65 kilometers to the south of the island.
