KLM flights to Athens expected to start on June 6

Relevant News

KLM flights to Greece are expected to start on June 6, connecting Amsterdam with Athens, the company said on Tuesday.

In an announcement, it said that the initial plan is to operate five flights a week to “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport from Schiphol, as part of the company’s effort to gradually restore its European network, which includes Greece.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, KLM is launching its summer program with significantly reduced flights and will fly according to a specially tailored program, which follows national guidelines in the Netherlands (RIVM), internationally (WHO, IATA) and in compliance with international law and the regulations of each destination.

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, KLM said it has implemented a number of measures to control and protect passengers and staff on board and at airports. As of May 11, face masks are compulsory during boarding and on board. Passengers are responsible for providing their own face masks.

Due to the changing nature of regulations and legislation, the company said that passengers need to visit www.klm.gr for updates and information for all measures and that all itineraries are subject to change due to travel restrictions imposed by local governments or international authorities.
