Sachin Pol of Maharashtra Security Force in Mumbai, India, reacted rapidly after he spotted the girl, 5, falling into the gap between the moving train and the platform.
The girl had been enjoying a day out with her father, Mohammad Dilshaan, and mother on Friday as the family headed back to their home in the Mumbai suburb of Bhiwandi. Nerve-jangling footage shows the girl, wearing a red dress, holding her mother’s hand as they run along the platform next to the moving train and try to jump on.
