Another Cypriot among the victims of accident at Tempi

Another young girl of Cypriot origin is included among the victims of the terrible train accident in Tempi.

According to information from state broadcaster CyBC, this is twenty-four-year-old Demetra Kapetaniou, who was in the first carriage of the train.

She was included among the missing persons in the tragedy and her body was identified by the DNA method.

CyBC’s information was confirmed by the consular authorities of the Republic of Cyprus in Greece, clarifying that the unfortunate girl was not a Cypriot citizen and the assistance of the Republic was not requested.

The father of the twenty-four-year-old girl, Kleanthis Kapetanios was born and raised in Anarita, Paphos, and settled permanently in Thessaloniki about thirty years ago.
