4.9 quake hits Turkey

A strong quake measuring almost 5 on the richter scale hit the southern Turkish province of Adana, early afternoon.

The epicentre was 65 kilometers northwest of Karanmanmaras, a city almost levelled by the recent mammoth tremors.

There were no initial reports of injuries or damage.
