New helpline for the vulnerable

The Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (ΠΣΣΕ) launched on Monday a new helpline for people who belong to the vulnerable groups of the population as well as those who have developed a social vulnerability.

In an announcement, the Council said that the line aims to socially strengthen the vulnerable by providing support, information and liaise callers with other services.

“The staff of the call centre are professionals from a variety of fields, and have the required training and experience to listen to you and help you,” the announcement said.

The line, it was added, operates on the basis of anonymity and confidentiality.

The number is 22000001, open Monday – Friday between 08:00 and 15:00.
