Three people were injured in two separate accidents during the early hours of Sunday in Nicosia, involving drivers who were under the influence of alcohol.
The first accident occurred around 1.10am when a car driven by a 29-year-old woman collided with a car driven by a 25-year-old man.
The 29-year-old and her 14-year-old daughter were injured in the collision and were transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for treatment.
The 25-year-old driver was arrested for driving under the influence after an alcohol test concluded that his alcohol lever reached 68mg, way above the legal limit.
The second accident occurred around 3.15am when a car driven by a 53-year-old struck three vehicles before being immobilized.
Police arrested the man after an alcohol test showed that his alcohol level reached 72mg.
Traffic Police continue to investigate both accidents.
