Man held after 32 kilos of cannabis found in Larnaca

A 24 year old man from Larnaca is under arrest after police discovered 32 kilos of cannabis — 5.5 kilos in his car and the remainder at a farm belonging to his family.

The man’s car was stopped on the Larnaca-Limassol highway, near the Alethriko exit on Thursday night where police found the first batch of cannabis..

They then searched a farm belonging to his family where they discovered 24 nylon bags with 26.5 kilos of cannabis.

The man is expected to appear before Larnaca District Court on Friday to be remanded in custody.
