The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for severe weather.
The warning is valid from 5 p.m. on Friday, January 12, until 12 a.m. on Saturday, January 13.
The Department said that rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected, particularly on the western and southern coasts of the island.
Total precipitation is likely to locally exceed 50 mm, it added.
