Woman robbed of €420,000 had arrived two hours earlier in Cyprus

Limassol Police are investigating a daylight robbery that took place on Friday in Germasogeia, targeting a woman who had only just set foot in Cyprus.

According to information, the victim, a young woman from Ukraine, had landed on the island two hours before the incident, flying into Larnaca Airport.

Upon arrival, she declared a significant sum of money during her customs inspection, intended for a real estate transaction.

She then travelled by taxi to a beachfront café in Limassol, before finalising the purchase of a flat.

There, two men riding a motorcycle who snatched her handbag containing 420,000 inside, before fleeing the scene.
