Police in Famagusta arrested two individuals, aged 31 and 29, yesterday in connection with a burglary at an Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) substation and the theft of copper.
The arrests follow a report of the burglary, after which officers identified a vehicle matching a description provided by police in a nearby village.
The two individuals were found at the location and a search revealed approximately eight grams of crystal meth, drug paraphernalia, and property of unknown origin.
Both individuals were remanded in custody for eight days by the Famagusta District Court today.
Investigations are ongoing by the Famagusta Crime Investigation Department (CID) and Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN).
