A 52-year-old man is in critical condition following a road collision in Paralimni, Famagusta district, yesterday afternoon.
The man lost control of his car on Vrysoudion Street for reasons yet to be determined, according to a police report.
The vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Emergency services responded to the scene and transported the man by ambulance to Famagusta General Hospital.
He sustained a severe skull fracture and multiple bodily injuries. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was intubated and transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.
Police in Paralimni are investigating the cause of the accident.
