On Saturday, the District Administrations were open until 2 pm to facilitate registration on the electoral rolls.
A total of 2,109 applications were submitted for registration on the electoral rolls or for the transfer of their electoral rights, according to information from the Ministry of Interior.
Applications were submitted per District as follows:
Nicosia: 631
Larnaca: 430
Famagusta: 176
Limassol: 564
Paphos: 308
It is reminded that the last day for registration on the electoral rolls is Tuesday, April 2nd. After this date, no new registrations or changes can be made to the electoral rolls.
Young people who will turn 18 by June 9, 2024 (i.e., those born up to June 9, 2006) also have the right to register.
The Ministry of Interior states that for citizens up to 25 years old, applications can be submitted electronically through the elections website at elections.gov.cy. Paper applications can be submitted at the District Administration Offices, Citizen Service Centers (KEP), and Citizen Centers (KE.PO. – Cyprus Post).
It is also clarified that on Tuesday, April 2nd, the last day for registration on the electoral rolls and for submitting a declaration for voting abroad, all District Administration Offices, Citizen Service Centers, and the Election Service at the Ministry of Interior will be open until 5 pm.
Electronic submission of applications for registration on the electoral rolls, as well as electronic submission of a declaration for voting at a polling station abroad, can be made until midnight on April 2nd, 2024.
