The Department of Meteorology on Monday issued an orange warning for storms.
It said that rain and local storms are expected to intermittently affect the northern half and eastern areas of the island. Hail may also accompany the storms.
Precipitation rates are expected to range between 55 and 70 millimetres per hour.
The warning will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Monday until 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
