Police are advising motorists to exercise caution on Tuesday afternoon as heavy rainfall in the Nicosia and Larnaca districts has caused slippery roads and limited visibility.
The downpour, which began around lunchtime, is particularly impacting travel on the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway, especially near the junction with the Nicosia-Limassol motorway.
Areas including Tseri, Pera Choriou Nisou, Alambra, Lympia, and Kornos are experiencing the most significant disruptions.
Police have also reported water flow and accumulation on the road surface near Larnaca Airport due to the heavy rain around 1 p.m.
Authorities are urging drivers to proceed with extra caution, maintain a safe following distance, and use their headlights.
