MP urges restoration of Pavlides mansion

Relevant News

The restoration of the Pavlides mansion and the highlighting of all the historic buildings of Limassol are demanded by DISY MP Fotini Tsiridou.

In a post on her personal social media account, she describes the damaged Pavlides mansion as an open wound, which, as she states, embodies the history and architecture of the city of Limassol.

She even accompanies her post with personal photos from the historic building.

Her post reads as follows:

“Every city that respects itself respects its History, its architecture, its public space. The Pavlidis mansion embodies all of the above for Limassol. Since yesterday, it has been destroyed and is located in the middle of the city as an open wound.

Its decline did not begin yesterday with the fire. But let the fire be the opportunity for it to be reborn from its ashes. This applies to the dozens of abandoned buildings in Limassol that can be restored, renovated, and give a different look to the city. They were here before us – we have a duty to deliver them better than we received them, not as ruins or centers of pollution and lawlessness.

The immediate restoration of the Pavlidis mansion is imperative, as well as the initiation of initiatives for the overall highlighting of the historic buildings of Limassol.
