A new letter to the Minister of Finance, Makis Keravnos, has been sent by the President of the House, Annita Dimetreou, regarding the issue of multiple pensions for officials.
According to information from philenews, Dimetreou urges Keravnos to expedite the submission of the two relevant bills to the House, asking him personally to take action in this direction so that they can be submitted to the House for voting.
In her letter, the Speaker emphasizes the need for the Minister to take responsibility, as the upcoming European elections as well as the Local Government elections may lead to acquired rights.
It is recalled that in early February, the Minister informed the Speaker of the House that the bills regarding multiple pensions are ready and have been forwarded to the Legal Service for processing, however, they have not yet been forwarded to the House.
