A 30-year-old man found with 15kg of cannabis in his luggage upon arrival from Vienna to Paphos airport on Tuesday evening claims he was asked to carry the suitcase ad got paid for it.
But he seems not to be providing police with enough useful information, Philenews reported on Wednesday.
In fact, he told police that he did not know who would be receiving the drugs.
A coordinated action between customs officers and anti-drug squad members turned up four nylon packages in the man’s luggage, containing 15.4kg of cannabis.
The 30-year-old EU citizen was arrested and taken into custody.
