An 82-year-old man convicted of shooting an intruder on his property is expected to receive a presidential pardon in the coming hours, philenews reported on Monday.
It said that the Law Office is set to greenlight a pardon request from President Christodoulides.
The man was initially sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
The 82-year-old has been repeatedly hospitalised for chest pains and high blood pressure since his conviction.
He was most recently admitted to Limassol General Hospital on April 17. Previous hospitalisations occurred on March 8 and March 22.
