A tavern in Limassol was targeted by bombers in the early hours of Monday.

According to information on our website, the two owners claimed ignorance about the motives of the perpetrators, telling authorities they have no disputes with anyone and do not suspect anyone.

There is an ongoing investigation by Limassol police, while various pieces of evidence have been collected from the crime scene and will be sent for scientific examination.

At the same time, investigators are searching for surveillance footage from the area to find any visual material that may have captured the perpetrators’ movements.

The tavern, owned by a 36-year-old and a 27-year-old, has been targeted for the second time in two years. According to philenews, Limassol CID investigators have some direction regarding the motives, which are not related to protection issues. According to the police, the explosion occurred at 4:48 AM at the tavern’s entrance.

On-site examinations by the bomb squad determined that the perpetrators had placed a low-power incendiary device at the entrance, causing minor damage.
