The Municipality of Larnaca condemns the reckless graffiti in the city centre which occurred late on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
According to a statement by the Municipality, “irresponsible individuals” have used spray paint to deface public and private spaces, shop windows, flowerbeds in squares, and some of the palm tree trunks on the coastal front of Finikoudes.
It is noted that the Municipality of Larnaca has recently undertaken a campaign to combat visual pollution and remove graffiti and other markings through a specialized team.
The results of the campaign have been visible, and the reckless graffiti has been greatly reduced.
Such unacceptable and malicious actions provoke feelings of anger and resentment.
The Municipality of Larnaca once again calls on the Police to take appropriate law enforcement measures and undertake all necessary procedures and measures to combat such phenomena.
