People are rushing up the mountains to enjoy the snow and police have taken preventive action on the roads to ensure a smooth journey for visitors, with the least possible traffic issues and everyone getting around safely in difficult conditions.
Patrols will be in place checking vehicles move up to the area, particularly towards Troodos square and mountainous communities. Drivers are advised to be patient on their way and follow relevant traffic directions.
Certain roads remain slippery due to frost, with the Platres-Troodos open only for vehicles with snow chains or four wheel drive.
