Storms on Tuesday morning caused flooding in homes and businesses in Kivisili as well as traffic issues in the Larnaca district.
Kivisili community leader, Michalis Georgiou told philenews that homes and businesses in Parasolia were flooded. “Huge amounts of water fell, and we are having problems in an area near the sea.
We informed the District Administration. This is the second time we have had floods in this particular area in two and a half years,” he said, noting that holiday homes and warehouses were the most affected.
Hail and heavy rains also affected roads in Kiti, Pervolia, Mazotos, Alethriko, and Athienou.
