Relevant News

Vandals caused damage to graves, from which objects were stolen, at the Dromolaxia Cemetery.

The perpetrators damaged small chapels that were placed on graves and snatched valuables intended to honour the deceased, while breaking vases and other objects.

The case is being investigated by the Police, as mentioned to philenews by the Mayor of Dromolaxia-Meneou, Kypros Andronikou.

“We unequivocally condemn the desecration of graves and will take specific measures,” Andronikou stated, noting that lighting will be installed, and the cemetery will be closed from 7 in the evening.

The incident caused great distress to the relatives, who were confronted with a gruesome sight when they rushed to the cemetery to visit the graves of their loved ones.
