The president of the board of directors of the Health Insurance Organisation (HIO), Stavros Michael, announced a short while ago on the state radio that the Ministry of Finance informed the organization last night that it approved the creation of 29 new positions for 2024, out of the 56 requested by HIO.
Mr. Michael stated that he is very pleased with the development. He also mentioned that the Ministry of Finance informed them that the assessment of the need for more new positions will be conducted in view of HIO’s budget for 2025. He expressed gratitude to the ministry “for the way they handled us this time.”
The issue of the 56 new positions, included in the Health Care Services Organization’s budget for 2024, was at the center of yesterday’s meeting between the Ministry of Finance and HIO, in the presence of Minister Makis Keraunos.
