The national NEARCHOS E-D Search and Rescue Plan was executed on Sunday for the airlifting of a 32-year-old female patient on board a ship sailing 105NM South-East off Cyprus.
No further details regarding the patient were given out, Philenews reported on Monday citing an official statement.
The statement also said that a helicopter of the 460MED of the Air Force Command of the General Staff Air Command was mobilised to carry out the mission. A specialised paramedic of the Ambulance Service was also on board the helicopter.
“The patient was safely delivered to Nicosia General Hospital,” it added.
