The 28-year-old who escaped from the detention facilities of the Lakatamia Police Station on January 25th, has surrendered to the Nicosia CID (Criminal Investigation Department).
He was being held as a defendant.
According to information, he is currently being interrogated by the authorities.
It is recalled that the 28-year-old had been arrested for a burglary case.
For his escape, the detainee managed to enter the disabled toilets, removed a disabled assistance iron bar, and used it to break the glass bricks and flee.
The detainee finally managed to escape from the station’s double enclosure by climbing onto a truck that was there for impoundment.
