Eighth arrest following Paphos Mall brawl

The Police proceeded with the arrest of an eighth individual regarding the serious incidents outside the mall in Paphos on Saturday night.

It concerns a 21-year-old who, according to the Police, is involved in a case of injuring three individuals after a burglary at their residence before the incidents at the mall.

The 21-year-old was arrested on Sunday afternoon under a judicial warrant issued after evidence emerged during the investigation of the incidents.

He is being examined for involvement in a case of burglary with the intent of committing a felony, injury, carrying weapons to incite terror, wielding a knife, malicious property damage, rioting, conspiracy to commit a crime, and conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor.

Three individuals aged 25, 23, and 20 filed a relevant complaint with the Police early on Sunday.

According to them, a group of people, armed with knives and various aggressive tools, broke into their residence in Paphos and attacked them.

This incident preceded the general brawl outside the mall.

The three of them received medical examinations at Paphos General Hospital, where it was found that the 20-year-old had a serious head injury, the 25-year-old had a serious injury to the hand and body, and the 23-year-old had redness and rashes on the face.

After receiving treatment, they were discharged.
