Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will make an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday, following an invitation from Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the visit, he will have a private meeting with Foreign Minister Mr. Kombos, followed by expanded consultations with delegations from both Foreign Ministries.
After the consultations, the two Ministers will make statements to the media. Subsequently, Mr. Kombos will host a working lunch for his counterpart.
The discussions will focus on, among other things, bilateral relations between the two countries and further deepening of Cyprus-Egypt cooperation, recent developments in Cyprus, and regional developments, with a focus on the situation in the Middle East.
During his stay in Cyprus, Mr. Shoukry will be received by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides.
