Education minister announces plan to support talented youth

In response to the remarkable achievement of 15-year-old Anna Avramidou, who recently received the top prize in the 6th World Piano Competition for young pianists, Minister of Education Athena Michaelidou has announced plans for an economic program to support talented children.

In a post shared on social media, the minister expressed her congratulations to Anna Avramidou, further stating “We are already working on a plan to financially support the talented children who honour us with their efforts, because the state must be a supporter of this effort!”

Anna Avramidou received the first prize in the Franz Liszt Young Pianists category, winning an additional five significant accolades, including the Grand Prix.

This marked the second time in the competition’s 20-year history that the Grand Prix was awarded.
