Deputy minister departs for Athens, to attend maritime event

The Deputy Minister of Shipping Marina Hatzimanolis is leaving today for Athens, where on Tuesday, March 5, the Ministry of Shipping is organizing an event for the 60 years since the creation of the Cyprus Registry.

At the event, the maritime community of Greece will be present, which has significantly supported and contributed to the development of the Cypriot flag.

During her stay in Athens, Hatzimanolis will hold meetings with the shipowning and maritime community of Greece, as part of promoting the Cyprus Registry.

The Deputy Minister will then travel to Brussels, following an invitation from the Belgian Presidency of the EU Council to participate in the conference it is organizing on March 8, on the living conditions of seafarers.

During her stay in Brussels, the Deputy Ministerwill hold bilateral meetings with other Ministers who will also participate in the conference, while she will have the opportunity to present Cyprus’s positions regarding attracting young people to the maritime profession, as well as the integration of women in shipping in general.
