A high pressure system is affecting Cyprus, gradually turning to low early next week onwards, while a thin layer of dust returns tomorrow, with the harmful phenomenon becoming worse over the course of the week, mainly on Tuesday.

Mostly sunny today, as Conditions favour a Troodos outing, but from noon onwards, overcast skies might bring light showers, mostly over the mountains. High cloud is expected in some areas, with light northeasterly to southeasterly winds, force three, over calm to slight seas. Temperatures will rise to 20 degrees Celsius inland and in coastal regions and 12 on the mountains.

Increasingly high cloud cover this evening, with the possibility of thin mist, affecting mostly inland areas. Winds will be light northeasterly to southeasterly force three and turning moderate three to four over western coastal regions and windward mountainous areas, over slight seas. Temperatures will drop to eight degrees Celsius inland, 12 in coastal regions and 5 on the mountains.

Overcast skies tomorrow at intervals, with Tuesday morning seeing the possibility of light showers locally, with the weather outlook becoming increasingly stormy from the evening onwards, as heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday.

Temperatures will remain above the seasonal average tomorrow, gradually dropping near the expected range from Wednesday onwards, as storms return.
