A regular visitor from Sweden has been appointed as the “Tourism Ambassador” of Ayia Napa on the occasion of his 25th visit.
According to a statement from the Ayia Napa Municipality, “the honouree is Nils Ove Hallin, who has made 25 visits to Ayia Napa for holidays in recent years.”
It is added that the cultural officer of the Municipality, Maria Tofini Tsantila, honoured Hallin today at the Municipal Hall, presenting him with a commemorative plaque and the emblem of “Tourism Ambassador.”
Tofini “expressed the warm thanks of the Mayor of Ayia Napa to the visitor for his numerous visits and for the special preference he shows for the area. At the same time, she noted that the Municipality no longer considers him a visitor but a citizen of Ayia Napa.”
