Limassol mayoral candidate Yiannis Armeftis has accused a close relative of current Mayor Nikos Nicolaides of launching a verbal attack against him, including various threats.
In a post, Armeftis expressed disappointment that Nicolaides had not condemned this unacceptable behavior, taken responsibility, or apologized.
He further expressed sorrow for the shameful incident and even more so for the mayor’s apparent cover-up of the assaults. Armeftis questioned whether these are the “clean deeds” Nicolaides boasts of and if criticism is met with bullying tactics.
Armeftis affirmed his commitment to a dignified, honest, and respectful campaign, continuing the hard work towards bringing change to their city.
