The Paphos Criminal Court sentenced a 33-year-old man to 14 years in prison today, finding him guilty of charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime, illegal importation, and possession of narcotics with intent to supply, as well as money laundering from illegal activities.
Specifically, the 33-year-old was arrested at Paphos Airport on July 13, 2023, during a baggage check upon his arrival from a European country.
Authorities discovered 28 nylon packages in his luggage containing cannabis, with a total weight of 32 kilograms and 356 grams.
The court determined his guilt on charges of conspiracy, illegal importation, and possession of narcotics, along with the intention to supply, as well as money laundering from illicit activities.
