Paphos Municipal Colour Park coming to life

Relevant News

The Municipal Colour Park, located at the heart of Paphos, is increasingly seeing more visitors.

Following the recent signing of the licence agreement for the full management of the park to the preferred bidder, the facilities of this large-scale project are daily teeming with hundreds of citizens enjoying the natural landscape and park amenities, regardless of weather conditions.

Already, the new urban project in the city centre serves as a visiting spot for Paphos schools, where students combine recreation with enhancing environmental awareness and getting acquainted with local flora species.

Being the largest of its kind in Cyprus, covering approximately 32,000 square metres, and featuring abundant greenery along with a wide range of facilities and amenities, the project enriches the city’s urban infrastructure and enhances the recreational possibilities for its residents, contributing to improving their quality of life.

What gives special value to the park is the fact that despite being in the city centre, its size, morphology, landscaping, and design give visitors the feeling of being in a secluded space of tranquillity.

The park was developed on Turkish Cypriot-owned land leased to the Municipality. It boasts plaza gathering areas, a playground for children, a café, a botanical garden, a basketball court, a tennis court, a small football pitch, a skate park, a climbing wall, an outdoor exhibition area, sanitary facilities, 83 parking spaces (including spaces for people with disabilities), a central pathway, and more.

The total construction and equipment cost of the park amounted to 3.6 million euros.
