16 new traffic cameras to operate in Paphos from January 22

From the upcoming Monday, January 22, 2024, the photo-signaling system is expanding to the province of Paphos.

In total, 16 fixed cameras will operate at five points, with the aim always being the reduction of serious and fatal road collisions.

Specifically, four cameras have been placed at the intersection of Evropi, Giannos Kranidiotis, and Georgios Savvas Avenues. They will monitor violations related to the breach of the red traffic light, the white line, and the speed limit.

The same violations will also be monitored by four devices at the intersection of Ellados, Dimokratias, and Tassos Papadopoulos Avenues. Another four devices have been placed at the intersection of Agion Anargyron and Spyros Kyprianou with Agapinoros Street.

Additionally, two devices were placed at the junction of Athenas and Christodoulos Sozos Avenues, while two devices were also placed at the junction of Chloraka and Griva Digeni Avenues with Agiou Georgiou Street.

Mobile cameras are already being used in the Paphos Province to control speed.

The goal is to reduce serious and fatal road collisions, as well as to reinforce proper road awareness in our country.
