Limassol residents will protest against an increasing number of high rise buildings in their coastal town on Saturday morning.
The protest is being organised by the Limassol Active Citizens’ Initiative on Tall Buildings and will demand a freeze on all planning permits for the high rises.
They say their object to haphazard development, the construction of a wall blocking off the sea and to the building of ‘ghost towers’.
The movement is calling for a strategic environmental impact study, problem planning and public consultation.
The protest will start at 10.45 near the GSO bridge on the coastal road.
